Assessment Practice Level 4

This programme is designed for individuals to gain training to become a qualified assessor in the workplace or adult education/tertiary education sector.  Candidates will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a variety of roles in the workplace or industry assessor context. 

PROGRAMME CONTENT INCLUDES:

• Assessment principles and processes
• Making appropriate assessment judgements
• Act ethically and professionally in the industry
• Communicating with a diverse range of people
• Providing effective feedback to learners and on assessment design/material
• Participate in quality assurance related to assessment activities

QUALIFICATIONS AVAILABLE:

• New Zealand Certificate in Assessment Practice Level 4

LENGTH AND HOURS:

Flexible

• 16 weeks
• Includes 10 x 8-hour workshops, 10 x 2-hour learning sessions, 300 hours self-directed learning    
• Workshops scheduled to meet the timetable
• for each intake

ENTRY CRITERIA:

All students who wish to enrol must go through a selection interview process. Participants who meet this eligibility are able to take part in these programmes:  

• Aged 16 years and above and left school 
• Must be eligible to study in New Zealand
• Commitment to completing the qualifications    
• Have an appropriate level of literacy & numeracy skill to study at Level 4 
• Students should have a placement in the industry where they may be delivering education or training as part of their role and require assessor training   
• You may also need to pass a safety check for the Vulnerable Children’s Act 2014 dependent on your placement
