This is an open entry programme designed for those wanting to pursue a career in the New Zealand Police Force. This programme will give you the skills and knowledge to make your way through the rigorous recruitment process and start your career. The night course is perfect for those who can commit to after-work study and training.
PROGRAMME CONTENT INCLUDES:
Theory Component
To meet the requirements of the Theory Test including:
Length and hours:
· 18 hours in-class tuition - usually 6 weeks from 5pm - 8pm
· Students are encouraged to commit as many hours as possible outside of the programme to their own training in the theory and fitness components
· This programme is arranged so that participants in full time work can attend in the evening
Preparation:
You should try to have:
· A Police clearance
· A Full Driver Licence (NZ Full Class 1)
· A current First Aid Certificate
· An Advanced or Defensive Driving Certificate
Cancellation policy:
In the unlikely event that People Potential is unable to offer the programme a full refund will be available to any student who has prepaid. Prepaid students are unable to attend may defer their place to the next programme.
They are usually held at the Whangarei Campus but if there is sufficient interest other venues will be considered.
There is no cost for eligible participants. All resources and materials are provided.
