Electricity Supply Level 2

The objective of this programme is to provide you with fundamental skills and health and safety training to enter the Electricity Supply Industry.  The two strands in this qualification will help you begin your industry pathway and progress to higher level qualifications. 

PROGRAMME CONTENT INCLUDES:

  • Principles of generation, transmission, and distribution
  • Electricity Act
  • Industry rules and guidelines
  • Carrying out practical electricity supply tasks under supervision
  • Telecommunications assets
  • Industry health and safety

QUALIFICATIONS AVAILABLE:

New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Introductory) (Electricity Supply and Strand) Level 2
New Zealand Certificate in Foundation Skills Level 2

ENTRY CRITERIA:

All students who wish to enrol must go through a selection interview process.

Participants who meet this eligibility are able to take part in these programmes:

  • Aged 16 years and above and left school
  • Commitment to completing the qualifications
  • Commitment to move to higher level education on completion of the programme
  • Have an appropriate level of literacy & numeracy skill to study at Level 2
