This programme is designed for people who want a career in the Hospitality sector.  We will help you increase your confidence and teach you skills and knowledge that will support your employment opportunities across a range of establishments, provide a lot of hands-on experience and establish standards of professional practice for basic service that can provide customers with confidence in a range of hospitality environments.

PROGRAMME CONTENT INCLUDES:

  • Knowledge of commercial espresso coffee equipment
  • Food safety methods
  • Food preparation
  • Knowledge of culinary products
  • Wine service
  • Functions and events experience
  • Payment transactions
  • Dealing with customer complaints
  • Industry and related knowledge

QUALIFICATIONS AVAILABLE:

New Zealand Certificate in Food & Beverage Service Level 3 with strands in Café Services, Function Services, Bar Services, Restaurant Services and Quick Service Restaurant Services.

ENTRY CRITERIA:

Selection Interview
Students must be over the age of 18 due to NZ liquor licensing laws

Plus:

Industry certificates – Barista, LCQ & Food Safety, Driver Licence

Monday to Thursday: 8:45am to 4:00pm Friday: 8:45am to 1:00pm
