Team Leadership

This programme is designed for people who have the potential to be appointed to team leadership roles or who have recently become a team leader.  We will help you increase your confidence and teach you skills and knowledge required to contribute effectively to team objectives and the supervision and management of a team.

PROGRAMME CONTENT INCLUDES:

• Understand effective team performance
• Develop objectives for a team
•  Understand different leadership styles for effective team performance
•  Communicate effectively with stakeholders      
• Work cooperatively within a team    
• Respond positively to diversity within a team    
• Human resources management     
• Apply effective problem solving and decision-making 
• Manage self effectively
• Demonstrate ethical and professional behaviour

QUALIFICATIONS AVAILABLE:

New Zealand Certificate in Business (Intro to Team Leadership) Level 3

Length and hours:

Flexible

• 18 weeks
• Includes 15 x 6-hour workshops, 6 x 1-hour learning sessions, 354 hours self-directed learning
• Workshops scheduled to meet the timetable for each intake

ENTRY CRITERIA:

All students who wish to enrol must go through a selection interview process. Participants who meet this eligibility are

able to take part in these programmes:

• Aged 16 years and above and left school   
• Must be eligible to study in New Zealand
• Commitment to completing the qualification
• Commitment to move to higher level education on completion of the programme
• Have an appropriate level of literacy & numeracy skill to study at Level 3
